The grand prize winner of the 2022 CityNet Congress SDG Awards. KL's SDG Centre is a prime example of what cities in the region can do to promote SDG localization throughout all levels of urban society. The Centre's programming encourages an inclusive, participatory, bottom-up approach to SDG implementation. Most importantly, the Centre constantly strives to find creative methods that will engage stakeholders of every demographic in KL.
The SDG Navigator is a self-assessment tool, created to help cities and city government officials evaluate their current performance in the implementation of SDGs, based on official United Nations SDG targets. Additionally, the SDG Navigator will suggest best practices from the Urban SDG Knowledge Platform that will help cities address their challenges in SDG implementation.
